Daytona Beach, FL-This is the first big weekend of racing for newly minted Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile and it's a full immersion experience. In an interview with Daytona's Morning News on WNDB, Wile talked about the new environment and how time spent running Darlington Raceway helped to some extent to prepare him for the Daytona Beach. Wile emphasized the amazing challenge of doing the entire Daytona Rising project at DIS without missing a single event on the calendar. Wile took over in Daytona Beach after Joie Chitwood III was promoted to CEO of International Speedway Corporation in April. Wile was President at Darlington from 2013 to 2016. Friday night at 7:30 PM is the Subway Firecracker 500. Saturday night at 7:45 PM is the 58th Annual Coke Zero 400. You can follow the action on WNDB AM 1150 and FM 93.5 and streaming online.
