Daytona Beach, FL - A nationwide restaurant chain is bringing its brand of fun and jobs to Daytona Beach. Dave & Buster's is set to open on March 11th, two weeks from this coming Monday.

The company has been running a job fair at the Holiday Inn-LPGA hotel north of Daytona International Automall since Feb. 6. Today
(Feb. 23) is the last scheduled day for hiring and there are 16 positions still available. Here's the link to the web page, Dave & Buster's. The job fair ends at 7 p.m. this evening.

General manager for the Daytona Beach location, Dave Joy, said that more than 2,000 people have already applied. That includes both in-person walk-ins as well as online applicants for the more than 220 full-time and part-time positions.

The huge facility, 30,000 square feet, is located at Tomoka Town Center, just east of Interstate 95. It is the Dallas-based chain’s seventh location in Florida.

According to Joy, the Daytona Beach Dave & Buster’s is offering more than 150 of the “latest and greatest” video and arcade games, including some that will offer a “unique VR (virtual reality) experience.

Other features of the restaurant-arcade include a sports lounge and a full-service restaurant. Dozens of flat-screen televisions, including three with 181-inch-wide screens, will be scattered throughout.

Dave & Buster’s is the second restaurant/video arcade to open in Daytona Beach in the past six months. Last fall, GameTime at One Daytona, opened across the street from Daytona International Speedway.

Daytona Beach Dave & Buster's regular hours of operation when it opens will be Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
