Daytona Beach, FL - One of the anchors of a popular beachside shopping mall is now gone, but the space it used to fill won't remain empty for too long.
The Paragon Ocean Walk 10 theater closed its doors last Friday (August 31st), according to the management company which runs Ocean Walk Shoppes on State Road A1A next to the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
Satellite Cinemas - an Argentina-based company which runs theaters in Titusville and Satellite Beach - is taking over that 50,000-square-foot space and plans to re-open later this month once the space is renovated and new equipment is installed, per a spokesperson for Ocean Walk Shoppes.
A new pizza restaurant is also expected to occupy that location, replacing the My Pi pizzeria which was there while Paragon was in place.
Paragon initially took over theater operations in 2012.
