Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Truck On Nova, Landing On Wood Chipper

Holly Hill, FLUpdate: The victim in Tuesday night's fatal motorcycle wreck in Holly Hill has been identified as Daniel V. Luz, 28, of New Smyrna Beach.

The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed at this point.

A motorcyclist was killed in Holly Hill on Tuesday when they hit a truck and landed on top of the wood chipper it was towing.

Police say the wreck happened at about 9 PM in the southbound lanes of Nova Rd., just north of the LPGA intersection. The motorcyclist crashed into the truck and was ejected from the motorcycle. They were found on top of the wood chipper and when first responders got to the scene, they pronounced the motorcyclist dead. The motorcyclist will be identified by the Medical Examiner's Office in the near future.

The truck was driven by David Roberts, 52, of Holly Hill. He wasn't injured during the crash.

Holly Hill Police Traffic Homicide investigators are working the case to determine if any charges will be filed.
