Motorcyclist Dies From Injuries In New Smyrna Crash

New Smyrna Beach, FL-Police say a 21-year-old motorcyclist from South Daytona died in a crash this morning on North Dixie Freeway at North Street just before 9 AM. The bike was going southbound when a vehicle driven by a 76-year-old Tennessee woman made a left hand turn into his path. The biker tried to stop but collided with the side of the sedan. The biker was treated at the scene and taken to Florida Hospital where he died a short time later. The vehicle driver did not appear to be hurt.
