Daytona Beach, FL - A motion to revoke bond for convicted child sex offender Mark Fugler while his case is under appeal is scheduled for this afternoon.

State's motion against Fugler's bond headed to court.

When convicted child sex offender Mark Fugler was granted bond for release, both Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood and the State Attorney's Office made it clear that they disagreed with the ruling.

Fugler was found guilty of nine separate counts against a victim under the age of 16. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison on August 15.

The State Attorney's motion states that Fugler only has menial ties to the area and should be considered a flight risk.

TAG: During the sentencing hearing, the child victim testified that Fugler's actions took an emotional toll on herself and her family.
