DeBary, FL-The public hearing scheduled to remove Clint Johnson as Mayor of DeBary ended with a postponement in order to give Johnson time to review the now 13 alleged charter violations against him. The hearing  was originally based on a text and email giving orders to staff that allegedly violated the city charter.

The 13 charges now in place include seven counts of giving orders to staff, two counts of dictating the removal of city staff and four counts of violating a part of the charter that says recommendations for improvements are to come through the city manager.

Johnson's attorney, County Councilman Doug Daniels, received the evidence for the allegations on Friday. He said due process requires more than two working days notice.

Daniels asked Judge Sandra Upchurch for a temporary injunction to stop the public hearing just last week. Upchurch did not grant the injunction.
