Metallica Headlining Welcome To Rockville 2020

Daytona Beach, FL - The group recently named the world's biggest all-time touring act by Pollstar is taking over the World Center of Racing.

Danny Wimmer Presents announced that rock icons Metallica will exclusively headline all five of their hard rock festivals in 2020, including Welcome to Rockville, which announced its Daytona International Speedway residency this July.

“Metallica isn’t just another headliner. When Metallica takes the stage, it’s an event. It’s an experience. That’s the same standard we’ve set for every DWP festival – from the first band to the last band, and everything that happens in between. I can’t wait to bring the biggest band in the world to the biggest rock festivals in America,” says Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents. “Metallica paved this road that we travel. How many artists on the bill at these five festivals first picked up an instrument, or first started a band, because of Metallica?”

Tickets are on sale now for "Fan Club" members and for past purchasers of DWP events. General public sales begin next Monday (October 14th) starting at 9 a.m. You can visit Welcome to Rockville's website for more information.

Wimmer also announced that for each ticket sold through November 19th, DWP will donate 25 cents to Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation. AWMH is a non-profit, philanthropic organization created by the members and management of Metallica, dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education.

“We are thrilled to have the iconic Metallica headline and perform two separate headlining sets for what will be an incredible three days of hard rock entertainment at Daytona International Speedway for Rockville 2020,” DIS President Chip Wile said. “Since the completion of the $400 million renovation project in 2016, we have been able to utilize Daytona International Speedway in non-traditional ways and we’re excited about the opportunity to host rock fans from around the world at the ‘World Center of Entertainment.’”
