Daytona Beach, FL-Another solid month in the books for local home sales in November here with numbers of homes sold about the same as a year ago, but the median sales price up sharply. Analysis of the Daytona Beach MLS (Multiple Listing Service) by Ron Wyoscarski of Keller Williams Wyse Home Team in Port Orange showed 329 single family homes sold here last month for a median sales price of $202,500. In November of last year, 330 homes sold for a median sales price of $170,0162. The median sales price last month was up 17% over last November. Wyoscarski says,“Low inventory levels have really been the story of 2016. The result was strong year-over- year gains in median sales prices for much of the year as buyers found themselves competing for the same homes. We don’t anticipate these market conditions will persist very long in 2017, though. Homeowners considering selling should list now if they want to enjoy the competitive advantages of the pressure low inventory levels are currently putting on buyers.” Wysocarkski says both Ormond Beach and Port Orange appear to be the hot markets now for motivated home buyers. 2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
