DeLand, FL - A manual recount in the State Representative District 26 race in Volusia County is a reality. Secretary of State, Ken Detzner, issued the order today for the race involving incumbent Democrat Patrick Henry and challenger Republican Elizabeth Fetterhoff.
On Election Day, Fetterhoff received 59 more votes than Henry. That number shrunk by four after the machine recount was finished Wednesday night.
Volusia Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis said once the process of sorting the over and under ballots pertaining to the District 26 race, the manual recount of the ballots will follow immediately.
The public is invited to attend the manual recount which is taking place at the Department of Elections in Deland.
