Deltona, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says a man overdosed in a car on Wednesday afternoon outside of Heritage Middle School.
The man was found unresponsive behind the school's back gate shortly after students had been released for the day. School officials say the buses were gone and very few students were still on campus when deputies arrived.
Investigators had to shatter a car window to get the man out, then they rushed him to a nearby hospital.
