South Daytona, FL-South Daytona police have arrested a suspect they say tossed rubbing alcohol on a woman and lit her on fire during a domestic incident. The suspect, 29-year-old Jerod Redding, is charged in the incident that happened just before midnight Monday at a home at 1761 Eastern Road. The victim, identified as Tanisha Carter, was at the home with three small children-ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old-at the time the physical fight began. Carter was severely burned on the left arm, left shoulder and left chest. When officers went to arrest Redding he fought with them and told them "Have you ever shot anyone? You're going to". Police say Redding is 6 feet tall and weighs 225 pounds. Officers suffered what are called minor injuries during the scuffle.
