Osteen, FL - A 34-year-old man said to be known to the victim's family, is charged with lewd and lascivious battery involving a sex act with someone under the age of 16. Jeffrey Cobb was arrested early this morning (July 30) by Volusia County Sheriff's deputies at his workplace. Detectives believe there could be other victims.
The victim's mother contacted VCSO over this past weekend to report that her daughter told her that Cobb had been touching her inappropriately since November 2018. The latest incident took place two weeks ago.
Detectives are investigating at least two other cases involving young females with similar incidents involving Cobb. Additional charges are possible as detectives search for other victims who know Cobb.
Cobb was arrested at the DeBary Golf and Country Club, where he is contracted by the homeowner's association as a nighttime security guard. He's being held in the Volusia County Jail on no bond.
