Bunnell, FL - A man already in the Duval County is the recipient of a Flagler County warrant for his arrest today (Jan. 11, 2019).  FCSO reports that 39-year-old Michael King, who is an illegal alien from England, was arrested by the Jacksonville Special Assault Unit on multiple charges of sexual battery on a child. JSO's investigation discovered evidence of sexual battery in multiple counties in Florida, including Flager, and all of them included the same suspect and victim.  The victim, now 16-years-old, told officers that the sexual relationship began when she was about five-years-old and continued until very recently.  Research showed that the Flagler County incidents took place between 2009 and 2012. A Flagler County judge found probable cause to issue warrants charging that Michael Denis King did knowingly and intentionally commit the offenses of Sexual Battery on a Person Less than 12 Years of Age and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation between 2/19/2009 and 2/21/2012. The Flagler County warrant was served today and King remains in the Duval County Jail on a $1.5 million bond.  Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly said about King, "I hope there is a special place in hell for people like him as anything less is too lenient.  He is a threat to any child and I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison." King is currently under an immigration hold.  FCSO reports that King has pending felony charges in Duval, Orange, Alachua, and Flagler counties for Capital Felonies.  More charges are pending as the investigation continues.
