Flagler Beach, FL - A woman and her young son are recovering from injuries today and the man who caused them is in the Flagler County Jail. The Flagler Beach Police Department says 29-year-old Hazael J. Dominguez physically threw them out of his car in a Gas station parking lot on Moody Boulevard about 8:15 p.m. on Monday (November 19th). Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Dominguez, who said he and his girlfriend had an argument because she wanted to break up with him. He said he stopped at the gas station to drop them off.  Dominguez said he came back because he felt bad about leaving them there. The victim tells a different story. Deputies reported the woman was crying and complaining of pain.  Upon examination, the woman had an abrasion on her left knee.  Her son was wearing a t-shirt that was ripped at the top of the shoulders and stretched out at the neckline. The woman told deputies that Dominguez got mad and started driving erratically, speeding up and slamming on the brakes several times before pulling into the parking lot.  She said he parked and came around to her side of the car, opened it and threw her to the ground. Dominguez threw the woman's phone to the ground, cracking the screen.  He then grabbed her son out of the back seat and threw him.  The woman said she was able to catch her son before he hit the ground. Dominguez is charged with felony child abuse without great bodily harm and two misdemeanors-domestic battery and criminal mischief for breaking the victim's phone.  His bond was set at $3,500.
