Man Arrested For Shooting Two Others On Porch Of Deltona Home

Apopka, FL – Over a month after two men were shot on the front porch of a Deltona home, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office makes an arrest in the case.

28-year-old Vandrae Wright was caught by agents with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Apopka yesterday (August 24th). He’s currently held at the Orange County Jail.

VCSO officials say the two victims are still recovering from their injuries.

Wright will face multiple charges in that July 14th incident on Wellington Drive, including two counts of attempted murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Volusia County Jail records show six prior bookings for Wright since December 2011 on numerous charges, including grand theft, burglary, child abuse, fleeing & eluding, driving without a license, obstructing an officer and two drug charges, including one for marijuana possession under 20 grams.
