Lotion Bottle Prompts Shutdown At Daytona Beach Int'l Airport

UPDATE (8:19 AM EST): VSO confirmed on Facebook that the item in question was a bottle of lotion. This incident came almost a year after an electric toothbrush also shut down DBIA.

UPDATE (7:41 AM EST): Daytona Beach International Airport confirmed on Twitter that a bag was flagged during a security check, causing the evacuation. The bag has since been cleared and normal operations are resuming

UPDATE (6:50 AM EST): The Volusia Sheriff's Office confirmed in an email that the airport is shut down due to a suspicious package. No other details are available.

Volusia County Dispatch confirms that they received reports of a suspicious incident at 6:17 AM but no other information is available.
