Law Enforcement Memorial

Volusia County, FL-This week is National Police Week. To honor those that have fallen in the line of duty, local law enforcement officers will gather in the Garden of Honor at Daytona Memorial Park on Friday.

Edgewater Police Chief David Arcieri is also the President of the Volusia/Flagler Police Chief's Association. He said that it's important to remember those that have fallen and their families. The names on the monument at Daytona Memorial Park are from every law enforcement agency that works in Flagler and Volusia counties, even FHP.

Arcieri reminds citizens that law enforcement officers are on the job because of them. He said that those that have fallen have done so while keeping the public safe.

On Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., local law enforcement will gather in the Garden of Honor at Daytona Memorial Park to honor and remember fallen brothers and sisters who died serving our communities. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The annual Flagler County Law Enforcement Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Operations Center located at 901 East Moody Boulevard in Bunnell.
