Daytona Beach, FL-The judge in the jury trial of an ex-corrections officer overturned the jury's verdict on Thursday. Shannon Wiggins was accused of stealing NASCAR gear from a vendor at Daytona International Speedway.

Wiggins, accused of stealing more than $100,000 worth of merchandise, was found guilty on Thursday of dealing stolen merchandise.

The judge granted a defense motion and reversed the verdict, finding Wiggins not guilty of dealing in stolen property. The judge said the prosecution hadn't proven that Wiggins knew or should have known the gear was stolen.

Wiggins was acting as a Security Supervisor at DIS at the time the merchandise disappeared.
