Daytona Beach, FL – Expect ramp and lane closures starting next week on I-95 and I-4.
And some of the work will begin on Sunday (August 18th) while other projects begin in the middle of next week.
I-4 Ramp Closures
Florida Department of Transportation will be resurfacing I-4 west of Saxon Boulevard (Exit 111) and east of State Road 472 (Exit 114). That will result in short-term ramp closures of both exits, Sunday through Thursday (August 22nd), 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
One ramp will be closed at a time at the Saxon and SR 472 for no more than one hour each for striping. Detour boards will be posted.
I-95 Lane Closures (Flagler County)
Between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, FDOT will close single lanes of I-95 on northbound I-95 running from Old Dixie Highway (Exit 278), past Palm Coast Parkway (Exit 289) and north to the St. Johns County line for resurfacing.
Double lane closures will take place on those same days, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
I-95 Ramp Closures (Volusia County)
Six different ramp closures are scheduled starting next week, with three beginning on Wednesday (August 21st) and Thursday for I-95 in the Daytona Beach area of Volusia.
The east and westbound ramps from International Speedway Boulevard (US-92, Exits 261 A&B) to southbound I-95 will shut down at 10 p.m. on Wednesday and reopen 6 a.m. Thursday. Traffic will be directed to take southbound Williamson Boulevard to Beville Road (State Road 400) to access I-95.
The southbound I-95 off-ramps to westbound I-4 and eastbound Beville will also close that same day, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will have to get off at westbound US-92 and take that to westbound I-4, past LPGA Boulevard.
Traffic headed to Beville will be directed to eastbound US-92 and then to southbound Williamson to access Beville.
The eastbound US-92 ramp to southbound I-95 will shut down Thursday at 10 p.m. and reopen around 6 a.m. on Friday (August 23rd). Traffic will have to take southbound Williamson to Beville to access southbound I-95.
The westbound US-92 ramp to northbound I-95 will also shut down that same day between the same times. Traffic will have to take northbound Williamson to LPGA to access northbound I-95.
And throughout the whole week, Sunday to Saturday (August 24th), expect daytime and nighttime lane closures of north and southbound I-95 between US-92 and I-4.
