Holly Hill Mom Pleads No Contest To Burning Son

Holly Hill, FL - A Holly Hill mother pleads no contest after prosecutors claim she dunked her 3-year-old son's feet into scalding hot water.

When police arrived in April 2017 to the Family Renew Center on Ridgewood Avenue, Sheretta Harris told them that she'd found the boy in the tub with the water running.

Police say the water heater was turned up to the maximum heat setting and that the boy suffered second-degree burns to his feet and ankles.

The child's father spoke to police not long after, saying Harris told him that the boy had soiled his diaper, which made her angry.

Harris' $15,000 bond was revoked after entering her plea on Monday.

Her sentencing is scheduled for October 16th.

She faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.
