Daytona Beach, FL - A Holly Hill woman gets 15 years in prison for burning her 3-year-old son's feet with hot water.
23-year-old Sheretta Harris learned her fate from 7th Circuit Judge Kathryn Weston, over a month after entering no contest to aggravated child abuse in an April 2017 incident at the Family Renew Center on Ridgewood Avenue.
Prosecutors say Harris gave the boy second-degree burns on his feet and ankles by placing them in extremely hot water, a punishment for the child soiling his diaper.
Harris was facing up to 30 years in prison before today's (October 16th) sentencing hearing.
