Flagler County, FL- A 76-year-old woman from The Hammock in Palm Coast was found guilty today of second-degree murder for shooting and killing her husband in September 2015. A jury of four women and two men took only 90 minutes to find Anna Pehota guilty of the crime.  The complete story can be found at Flaglerlive.com.

Just a few minutes later, the judge sentenced Pehota to life in prison without parole, with a mandatory minimum of 25 years. Pehota’s defense attorney had presented the case as Pehota having memory problems and psychological issues.

The key evidence for the prosecution was a letter Pehota had written to her son, in which she described what happened, in her recollection.
