Governor Scott Suspends DeLand City Commissioner

DeLand, FL – Florida Governor Rick Scott announces that he is suspending the DeLand City Commissioner effective immediately.

59-year-old Jeffrey Hunter was charged with selling hydrocodone back in June and claimed that he was being blackmailed by his former girlfriend and her current boyfriend.

That investigation came after the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office received complaints that Hunter was dealing narcotics.

The DeLand City Commission meets on Monday.
