Earlier reporting below.

Palm Coast, FL - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a Waste Pro worker was pinned underneath a garbage truck and killed.

It happened just before 10 o’clock this morning in a residential part of the B-section in Palm Coast.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office blocked public access to the scene on Bay Spring Place near Oak Trails Boulevard as part of the investigation.

FHP Master Sergeant Dylan Bryan says it looks like the Waste Pro truck overturned while its driver was trying to go through a curve in the road.

“[The] passenger was ejected as the vehicle turned over and was pinned underneath the vehicle,” Bryan added. “[He was] pronounced deceased at [the] scene.”

The driver also suffered minor injuries, according to Bryan.

FHP hasn’t released the identities of the driver or the man who died. It’s also not clear if the driver will face any charges.
