Daytona Beach, FL- A fugitive wanted for crimes in three states was captured Thursday night by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s Crime Suppression Team and the Daytona Beach Police Department. North Carolina law enforcement had been looking for 42-year-old Damon Kennedy since June 29 after he led them on a two-county chase and managed to escape. Agents who had been searching for him got a tip that Kennedy was in Daytona Beach posing as a homeless man. The tip led to Kennedy being captured Thursday around 11:45 P.M. at the Checkers at 2210 W. International Speedway Blvd. Kennedy is being held for North Carolina authorities on nearly a dozen warrants.
