Florida Continues Streak Of Ranking 4th In The Nation For Passing AP Scores

Florida – The State of Florida has continued its streak of ranking 4th in the nation for passing Advanced Placement (AP) scores.

According to results released earlier this month, just over 30% of Florida's Class of 2017 graduated having passed at least one AP exam in one of the 38 subjects available.

The number of students taking AP courses and passing AP exams has risen significantly since 2007 where 18.4% of students graduated with at least one passing AP score and around 155,000 students took an AP test.

In 2017, over 215,000 Florida students sat for an AP exam. Although just 52% of last year’s AP tests in Florida received a passing score, school officials say the rigorous courses benefit students regardless if they pass or fail.
