Bunnell, FL - A call from a woman yesterday (May 3) afternoon concerned about her friend, 32-year-old Steven Janvrin, leads to police finding him and arresting him. Flagler County Sheriff's deputies responded to the woman's call. She reported that Janvrin was driving around making suicidal statements, telling her that he had a gun.

FCSO already knew Janvrin as he is a career criminal with an arrest record dating back to 2009. They already had warrants for him from a recent undercover operation conducted by the FCSO Special Investigations Unit. The arrest warrants for Jarvin are for the Sale of Methamphetamine and
the Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device.

Deputies located Janvrin driving on Canal St. in Bunnell. When they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Janvrin fled and crashed his vehicle on Blueberry St. He got and ran into the wood line.

A perimeter was established and support from Fire Flight and K-9 units was requested. A human officer and K-9 Officer located Janvrin quickly. He was commanded to come out peacefully. He did not obey and as a result, the K-9 Unit made the arrest. It's reported that 'Deputy Tag "took a bite out of crime" in the process.' Janvrin then lead deputy’s to the location in the woods where he had stashed his firearm.

“As I said during ‘Operation Spring Mix’ you can run but you can’t hide,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “This guy is career criminal who most likely could feel the walls beginning to close in on him as deputy’s were closer and closer to bringing him in. Today, we have another poison peddler off our streets and in the Green Roof Inn. Thank you to our deputy’s and K-9 Tag for bringing this guy in."

Janvrin is being charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding with Disregard to Person or Property, Resisting and Officer Without Violence, Felony Driving While License Suspended, Sale of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. He is being held on $16,500.00 bond.
