Bunnell, FL - Flagler County's Emergency Management and Economic Opportunity departments are teaming up to provide free workshops to help small businesses learn how to prepare for disasters.

“Teresa Battuello – who has both an extensive business background and emergency management training – will provide expert instruction and guidance so that businesses will come away with planning tools that will allow them to initiate the preparation that will allow them to recover rapidly after a disaster,” said Flagler County Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord.

The workshops will be held between 9-11 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. on Friday (October 18th) at the Emergency Operations Center found off of Moody Boulevard in building 3.

The workshops are made possible through the support of multiple agencies including the Northeast Florida Regional Council, International Economic Development Council and the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

Battuello is among the IEDC's expert volunteers selected to teach how to protect businesses that are facing an emergency.
