Flagler Beach Home Extensively Damaged In Blaze

fire-featured Flagler Beach, FL - A Flagler Beach home suffered extensive damage after a fire on Thursday morning. The Flagler Beach Fire Department got the call a little after 10 AM about the fire at 1915 S. Central Ave in Flagler Beach. Engine 11 and Ladder 11 from from FBFD responded to the scene along with Fire Police with Fire Chief Bobby Pace taking command. County crews also came in to help. By the time crews arrived at the scene everybody was out of the home, but witnesses say 2 people were inside when the fire started. No one was hurt. "The north side of the house was completely engulfed in flames," said Chief Pace. The Fire Inspector determined that the fire originated in the garage, which had been converted to a living area for renters, but Chief Pace thinks a definite determination of the cause of the fire is unlikely due to the extent of the damage. The north side of the home was extensively damaged by the fire, but the home is still standing and no nearby structures were affected by the blaze. The family was turned over to Red Cross for assistance. img_3387 img_3386 img_3388
