Daytona Beach, FL - A local homeless shelter announces two new faces that will run it's day-to-day operations.

That's according to First Step Shelter, who said on their Facebook page that Jane Elise Bloom and Leslie Bonner will be joining the team behind the shelter.

Bloom, who has moved to Florida from the Pacific Northwest, will be taking over as the interim executive director of operations, while Bonner takes over as the interim executive director of partnerships.

In her career in British Columbia, Canada, Bloom held positions as executive director of large not-for-profit organizations focusing on issues of addictions, family and children services, brain injuries and special needs, just to name a few.

She was also a member of the Children's Commission of British Columbia, conducting semi-judicial hearings on the rights of children in care of the government.

Then, in Washington state and Florida, she has been an administrator during the construction and operations of high end assisted living and memory care communities.

In her last position in Washington, Jane was executive director of an organization which develops funding through government contracts and private donations and provides affordable housing to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Bonner brings 28 years of business telecommunications leadership experience with the BellSouth Corporation, BellSouth Cellular Corporation and Cingular Wireless.

During that time, Bonner led award winning sales and customer service departments. She also served as legislative liaison and media spokesperson for BellSouth.

Bonner is currently an adjunct professor at Seminole State College in Sanford, teaching and development courses such as Management of Strategic Human Resources, Employment Law & Regulations, Compensation Management, Employee Benefits and Effective Employee Training and Development.
