Earlier reporting below.

Daytona Beach, FL - Troopers are now searching for whoever fled the scene after hitting and killing a woman crossing U.S. 92/International Speedway Boulevard in Dayona Beach.

The Florida Highway Patrol says it happened around 9:40 last night (September 5th) on the westbound side of 92/ISB near Tomoka Farms Road.

Investigators think the driver was traveling westbound on US-92 in the right lane approaching Tomoka Farms when he struck 36-year-old Kristen Trull as she attempted to cross the road with a male companion.

According to the FHP report, Trull was not in a crosswalk or intersection when the vehicle hit her and then took off. She died at the scene.

Based on a vehicle part found at the scene, FHP believes the vehicle involved is a white Ford, likely with front-end damage on the passenger side.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact FHP at 407-737-2213.
