Daytona Beach, FL - Troopers are investigating the death of a 56-year-old Daytona Beach man in an accident during the Thanksgiving weekend.

The Florida Highway Patrol found Phillip Boroughs' body just after 2 p.m. Saturday on private property off U.S. 92 near Roosevelt Boulevard. That's around a mile and half west of where U.S. 92 meets Interstate 4.

The exact location where Boroughs' body was found wasn't made clear in the FHP report, nor is it clear at this time when the accident happened, according to FHP Lieutenant Kim Montes.

Boroughs was riding a 2006 Rhino ATV southbound on a dirt trail when the vehicle went off-trail for some reason, with its front striking a tree, per the report. Investigators think the vehicle then overturned onto Boroughs.

An autopsy is pending to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor.

Boroughs wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, per FHP.
