Posted
Daytona Beach, FL - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is warning motorists planning on traveling in the Daytona Beach area that there will be a temporary closure of the I-4 and I-95 interchanges to accommodate the ongoing widening of I-95. The closures will affect travelers beginning in the afternoon of Sunday, May 6, through the early morning of Monday, May 7. During this time, S.R. 400 (Beville Road) eastbound and I-4 exit 132B (towards I-95 southbound) will experience temporary closures as part of the I-95 Widening and Systems Interchange Reconstruction Project. Officials have indicated that detours are marked. FDOT asks motorists to slow down and carefully follow detour signs through the construction area. The detours are as follows:
  • Eastbound I-4/Beville Road traffic: Take exit 129 towards U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard), merge onto I-95 southbound and take exit 260A to Beville Road.
  • I-4 eastbound to I-95 southbound/exit 132B: Take exit 129 towards U.S. 92 east to I-95 southbound.
FDOT also clarifies that I-4 exit 132A to I-95 northbound will remain open during this phase of construction, however, all activities are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances. In the event that construction is unable to take place during the scheduled time, closures will be postponed until Monday night. Construction updates will be posted at http://www.CFLRoads.com.
