Bunnell, FL - A public corruption investigation is now in the hands of the state.

That's according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office after they've announced the FDLE will handle the case involving Flagler Tourism Director, Matthew Dunn, who was suspended yesterday (April 4th)

The report from FCSO says that they were notified yesterday afternoon about a possible misappropriation of Flagler County funds by Dunn.

They were told that an internal review conducted by the county found enough evidence to warrant the suspension of Dunn and to conduct an investigation into the incident.

Dunn was suspended with pay and all of his electronic devices he received since he was hired were collected by the county.

A lock was also placed on his office door to prevent access to potential evidence.

Since the case deals with the potential of public corruption, FCSO requested that FDLE takes the reigns in the investigation.
