Flagler County, FL - The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is asking for help as they search for the man who robbed a Palm Coast credit union on Wednesday morning.

The suspect robbed the Space Coast Credit Union at around 10:40 AM on July 5. He's described as a black man between 20 and 30-years-old with a goatee or beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a long sleeve gray t-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

Witnesses say he walked into the bank, displayed a firearm in his waistband, and demanded money from the teller. Once he got the cash he fled the scene. Deputies, K-9 units, tactical teams, and FireFlight created a perimeter to search for the suspect but he got away.

Nearby businesses were alerted and the Palm Coast United Methodist Church and Sunshine Academy were placed on a temporary lockdown during the search.

“This suspect should be considered armed and potentially dangerous,” Sheriff Staly said. “This case is under active investigation. Help us give this guy a room at our Green Roof Inn.”
