Flagler Beach, FL - A man is arrested after witnesses told deputies he broke a guitar over another man's head.

That's the story involving 56-year-old Jeffrey Patterson after Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to a physical disturbance at the Roadhouse Bar on 3345 South Old Kings Road inside the Bulow RV Resort after midnight last Friday.

Witnesses told deputies a fight ensued between two patrons and pointed them in the direction of the home of the 24-year-old victim, who had a laceration over his eye and told deputies that he was involved.

Soon after another victim arrived and told deputies he was also involved.

After deputies made contact with him, they were escorted to Patterson's home inside the RV resort where he was then arrested.

According to the narrative, Patterson, who is also a resident of the RV resort and a regular patron, was cut off from alcohol service by staff which made him irate, beginning an argument with one of the men.

It was during that altercation that Patterson armed himself with a guitar and threatened to hit him.

That's when the 24-year-old victim says he came over to diffuse the situation but was then struck by Patterson with the guitar.

A minor physical altercation then began with Patterson and the other victim, where the victim only suffered minor scrapes on his arms and elbows. Patterson then left the scene and returned to his home before deputies arrived.

Patterson claims that he was not the aggressor and was instead attacked by the two victims "for no reason," and that he was only defending himself.

Deputies found the guitar damaged on a picnic table as well as blood on the sidewalk outside the bar.

Patterson was named the primary aggressor and charged with aggravated battery and was booked at the Flagler County Jail on $10,000 bond, the bar also trespassed Patterson from the property.
