FCSO Investigates Shooting, Believed To Be Drug-Related

Flagler County, FL - FCSO is investigating a shooting that took place on Thursday night near Bayberry Village Road and Old Dixie Highway.

The 20-year-old victim was released from Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach on Friday after receiving treatment for a gunshot wound.

The young man's mother called the incident in around 7:04 PM and took her son to Florida Hospital Flagler.

Up to this point, FCSO detectives have received limited information on the shooting and plan to interview the victim again. The victim claims he was shot by a black male who's about 6 feet tall with a slim build and short hair. The shooter was in a vehicle described as a black four-door sedan with white on the sides. Investigators think the incident could be drug-related.
