Emergency Grant Funds Available For Non-Profits

DeLand, FL - Volusia County announces that they have received new grants from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development that could help some county non-profits.

The funds are known as the Emergency Solutions Grant funds and non-profit organizations around the county will be able to apply to receive money from those grants.

But, the funds are only available for organizations with certain programs.

Those programs are homeless prevention - housing relocations and stabilization services for people at risk of becoming homeless - and rapid re-housing - housing relocation and stabilization services to help individuals and families living in shelters or in places not meant for human habitation move as quickly as possible into permanent housing.

Both programs must serve the entire county and comply with the written standards of the Commission on Homelessness for Volusia and Flagler counties.

The amount available for distribution is $157,517. Approved applicants will be required to provide a 100% match. The funds are also only available for Volusia County projects, not Flagler.
