Palm Coast, FL - An early morning crash in Flagler County leaves a residential neighborhood without power and the driver charged.

Florida Highway Patrol responded around one o'clock this morning (October 27th) to the area of Royal Palms Parkway and Rickenbacker Drive in Palm Coast.

That's where they found a 2008 Lexus ES 350 that hit a power pole, along with a driver and her passenger.

According to the report, the Lexus was traveling east on Royal Palms Parkway passing Rickenback Drive when it ran off the roadway headed to the left.

After the vehicle drove off the road it collided with a power pole before stopping after it collided with a fence.

The damage to the power pole caused the surrounding area to lose power.

FHP reports that Florida Power & Light responded to the area close to 4:30 to restore power to the surrounding neighborhoods. It is unclear whether or not power is restored as of now.

The driver and the passenger both suffered minor injuries and were transported to Florida Hospital Flagler.

The driver was charged with careless driving.
