Driver Injured, Passenger Killed In Palm Coast Shooting

Palm Coast, FL - Flagler County deputies are searching for answers after a driver and passenger were shot in the parking lot of a Circle K.

And according to Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly, the Sheriff's Office believes wasn't random.

“At this time we do not believe that this was a random attack,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We are actively piecing together the events that led up to this incident. We ask the community to send tips if they have any information that may help in this investigation.”

The report from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office says that they received a 911 call just after 3:30 this morning from a man who said that he and his male passenger were shot at the Circle K off of Palm Coast Parkway.

He told 911 that he was driving he and his passenger to the hospital and that the suspect fled the scene.

Dispatchers requested that the driver instead travel to the Palm Coast Fire Department station located not too far from the convenience store. There is where deputies and first responders attempted to render first aid. However, despite their efforts, the passenger was pronounced dead.

The driver was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. An update on his condition is not available at this time.
