DNA Analysis Produces No Leads In Sexual Batteries Investigation

Daytona Beach, FL- DNA analysis in two separate incidents of sexual assault in the Daytona Beach area has not produced any new leads. The first incident took place on August 31st when a 68-year-old woman walking the beach in Daytona Beach Shores around 5:30 a.m. was knocked unconscious and woke to find she had been assaulted. The second happened to a 33-year-old woman in the area of Seabreeze Boulevard and A-!-A around 1:30 a.m. on September 8th. In this case, the woman was discussing performing a paid sex act when she was attacked and assaulted. VCSO investigators say there is no definitive evidence connecting the two cases. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay vigilant to their surroundings.
