Teen Girl Abuse

Volusia County, FL- A 50-year-old Ormond Beach man accused of using duct tape and zip ties to keep a teenage girl from running away is under arrest and charged with child abuse. Anthony Hubble is also accused of repeatedly punching the girl and making her sleep on the floor.

Deputies say the victim told them she had run away from the home near Ormond Beach on Monday but law enforcement located and returned her to the home.

The girl told deputies that Hubble punched her in the face and body a number of times and used the duct tape and zip ties to restrain her before Hubble fell asleep. She was able to escape again but Hubble chased her onto a lawn with his car. Deputies were called when a passerby notified them about the car driving on the lawn.

Several residents called 9-1-1.

Hubble claimed he tied the victim up because she kept running away.
