Deltona Woman Killed In Early Morning Crash On I-4 After Being Ejected From Car

Longwood, FL - A 29-year-old Deltona woman was killed early Wednesday morning when she crashed and was ejected from her car on I-4 in Longwood.

According to FHP, Vanessa Rivera was driving east on I-4 near mile marker 96 when she crossed over the east outside travel lane into the outside grass shoulder at around 1:50 AM. Her 2001 Acura hit a "No Parking" sign on the shoulder then collided with a tree. She wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.

Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation.
