Deltona House Fire Injures Two, Kills Dog

Deltona, FL - A house fire in Deltona today (July 1) caused injuries to two people and left one dog dead.

Fire officials say that the people suffered smoke inhalation at the home located at 2061 Dearing Avenue.

The fire was reported at 1:07 p.m. When firefighters arrived just moments later, the home was about 50 perent engulfed.

At around 1:26 p.m., firefighters were ordered to abandon the building. Officials say that part of the structure collapsed shortly after that.

The two people were transported to the hospital. When firefighters later entered the home, they found the dog dead inside.
