Deltona Home Invasion Leaves 16-Year-Old Hospitalized

Deltona, FL - VCSO is investigating a home invasion that happened on Tuesday morning in Deltona that left a 16-year-old victim hospitalized.

Deputies responded to a 7:10 AM call to 2423 Penton Court to find the home in disarray. The woman who lives there told deputies two suspects came into her room and beat her then tied her up. She also said they threatened to kill her. The woman's brother came into the room during the attack and was also beaten. He suffered puncture wounds to his shoulder and scrapes on his neck.

The suspects stole the woman's car and used it to flee the scene then abandoned it about a mile away on a trail off of McBride Ave. Deputies were unable to find the pair.

The 23-year-old woman wasn't hurt during the home invasion, but her 16-year-old brother was. He was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford for treatment. He's listed in stable condition.

The suspects were described as tall and thin wearing black clothes and carrying backpacks. The two were wearing masks, but the victims said one was white and the other was black.

Anyone who gives information to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and can qualify for a reward of up to $5,000.
