DeLand PD Trying To ID Armed Man In Hockey Mask Who Robbed A 7-Eleven

hooded-man-with-hockey-mask Deland, FL - Police in DeLand are asking for the public's help as they try to ID the man that robbed a 7-Eleven at gunpoint early Friday morning. The suspect, described as possibly white or Hispanic, robbed the convenience store at 1043 W. New York Ave. around 3 AM on September 16. He went into the store with a black handgun demanding money, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash heading towards Spring Garden Ave. Officers and deputies were assisted by VCSO's Air One helicopter as they searched for the suspect, but they were unable to find him. He was last seen wearing a semi-transparent hockey mask, a dark blue hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with info should call the DeLand Police Department at 386-626-7400.
