DeLand Man Dead After Exiting Moving Vehicle

DeLand, FL – A 25-year-old man died late last night (August 10th) from injuries he sustained after exiting a moving vehicle.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to the call around 11 o’clock Satuday night off of Aquamarine Drive. According to VCSO, the driver of the vehicle, a Ford F-250, told deputies that he went to pick up his cousin from a bar to drive him home.

The driver says that his cousin was intoxicated, and when they arrived in his neighborhood he exited the truck while it was moving and fell into the road.

He was taken to AdventHealth DeLand where he would succumb to his injuries.
