DeLand, FL - Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Tuwon Chambers was arrested for leaving the scene of a fatal accident that happened June 4th in the 2200 block of South Woodland Boulevard. The crash injured four people and killed 17-year-old Kevin Mojena of Orange City.

An in-car video given to DeLand police showed a white Dodge Dart making contact with Mojena's vehicle, which then struck two other vehicles. The white Dodge then stopped after the crash, before continuing north.

That same vehicle was spotted later at the intersection of State Road 15A and Beresford Road after which officers initiated a traffic stop. As officers approached they smelled marijuana which was found by officers after a search, along with a bottle of rum. Chambers was then arrested on misdemeanor drug charges.

While Chambers was stopped he admitted to officers twice that he was involved in the fatal crash on Woodland Boulevard. A warrant was issued that past weekend related to the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
