black male handcuffs DeLand, FL - A DeLand man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to a shooting that happened in December after a drug deal went bad. 21-year-old Shawn Davis is facing charges of aggravated battery on a person using a deadly weapon, robbery with a firearm, and burglary while armed. He's being held at the Volusia County Jail without bond. On December 13 police were called to the parking lot of Applewood Apartments where they found Noel Pease, who had driven to a 7-Eleven after being shot in the arm. Investigators determined that Pease had been shot during a drug deal. Based on witness testimonies and evidence found at the scene Davis was identified as the shooter. On Wednesday police were responding to an unrelated call when an officer saw someone matching Davis' description. The officer approached the vehicle he was in, then a woman, later identified as Shawn Davis' sister Jazzmyne, got out, started the alarm, then walked away. Then Shawn Davis got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The officer yelled at him to stop, and after a brief chase he was arrested and taken into custody. 23-year-old Jazzmyne was also arrested and was charged with accessory after the fact. She's being held at the County Jail on $5,000 bond. davis-mug
